Dr. Samir Kouro received the award «Outstanding Engineer IEEE-AIE 2018» given by the Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry of Chile (AIE) and Region 9 (Latin America) of the IEEE.
The award – delivered on December 5th at the «Encounter of the Electrical, Electronics and Automation Industry 2018» – was granted more than 10 years ago to highlight an engineer with an outstanding background in electrical and electronic engineering for his professional development, contribution to the industry and innovation.
Kouro has a prestigious background as a researcher in topics such as power electronics, photovoltaic and wind energy conversion systems, and applications in electromobility, which has resulted in important national and international distinctions.
